Trip Cancellation & Interruption
Why do you need Trip Cancellation & Trip Interruption Insurance?
Life is unpredictable, and unexpected events can disrupt even the best-laid travel plans. Trip cancellation insurance is a smart choice for travellers who want to avoid losing the value of their pre-paid, non-refundable, or non-transferable expenses, such as flights and accommodations.

A trip often represents a significant financial investment—and protecting that investment is essential. The sooner you purchase coverage, the sooner your plans are protected.

Trip Cancellation Insurance protects you before your departure, reimbursing non-refundable expenses if you have to cancel your trip due to a covered reason.
Trip Interruption Insurance applies after your trip has begun, covering costs if you need to interrupt, delay, or return home early or later than planned.

Can I cancel for any reason?
TuGo does offer optional Cancel For Any Reason coverage (CFAR), which can be added on to Trip Cancellation & Trip Interruption plan or All Inclusive Holiday package. This coverage allows you to cancel for any reason (that isn’t already listed as a covered risk in the policy), and reimbursing you for up to 50% of pre-paid, unused non-refundable travel costs. You’ll need to purchase this coverage within 5 days from the date you pay for, or make a deposit on, your trip; and, if you do decide to cancel, it must do so more than 5 days before your departure date.
When should I buy insurance?
For maximum coverage, it’s best to purchase Trip Cancellation & Trip Interruption Insurance as soon as you book your trip. The earlier you buy Trip Cancellation & Trip Interruption Insurance, the longer you’ll be protected if unexpected events force you to cancel before departure.
Please note: Some coverage options may become limited or unavailable if you wait too long to buy your policy.
If you book additional flights or accommodations later, you can typically add these expenses to your existing policy or purchase a new one.
How much does travel insurance cost?
The cost of travel insurance varies depending on several factors, including your destination, the length of your trip, your age, the coverage options you choose, and any pre-existing medical conditions.
